Preserving Railroad History in the Puget Sound Area
Tacoma Chapter-National Railway Historical Society (NRHS) is a group of railroad fans who love all things trains. From modeling to the real trains, we are involved. We support local train shows and tourist railroads and have helped the NRHS conduct RailCamp west since 2012. RailCamp involves volunteering to assist 12 young people (ages 14-18) ascertain whether railroading might be a career they might pursue by working on actual jobs that railroaders do.
We would love to have more members join us in our dedication to the love of trains.
We meet once a month, either in person on on Zoom which a short business meeting and a visual railroad presentation. We plan to attend all Sound Transit light rail openings riding the new sections of track.
